Welcome to Finite Days! These terms outline how you can use our app. We've tried to keep them clear and straightforward.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Finite Days mobile application ("App") operated by Finite Days ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Finite Days is a personal journaling application that helps users reflect on their life by:
- Capturing daily memories with text, photos, videos, and voice notes
- Displaying life statistics based on your birthdate
- Providing prompts for daily reflection
- Creating time capsules for future viewing
All your content is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your memories, media, or journal entries.
3. Account Registration
To use Finite Days, you must create an account using:
- Apple Sign In
- Google Sign In
- Email and password
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information and keep it updated. You may not share your account with others or use someone else's account without permission.
4. Your Content
Ownership: You retain full ownership of all content you create in Finite Days, including text, photos, videos, and audio recordings.
Local Storage: Your content is stored only on your device. We do not upload, access, or process your memories on our servers.
Backup Responsibility: You are solely responsible for backing up your data. If you delete the app or lose your device without a backup, your content cannot be recovered.
Acceptable Use: While we cannot see your content, you agree not to use the App to store content that:
- Violates any applicable law
- Infringes on others' intellectual property rights
- Contains malware or harmful code
5. Purchases and Payments
Free Trial: New users receive a 10-day free trial with full access to all features.
Lifetime Purchase: After the trial, you may purchase lifetime access through an in-app purchase. This is a one-time, non-recurring payment.
Payment Processing: All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.
Refunds: Refund requests must be submitted to Apple through their standard refund process. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for lifetime purchases—contact us at support@finitedays.io if you're unsatisfied.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change pricing for future purchases. Existing lifetime purchases are not affected by price changes.
6. Intellectual Property
The Finite Days app, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer or decompile the App
- Use our trademarks without permission
- Create derivative works based on the App
7. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to our privacy practices.
8. Disclaimers
As-Is Service: The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
No Guarantee: We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure. You use the App at your own risk.
Life Statistics: Life statistics shown in the app are estimates based on general data and should not be considered medical advice or predictions.
Data Loss: We are not responsible for any loss of data due to device failure, app deletion, software bugs, or failure to create backups.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or content
- Loss of profits or revenue
- Emotional distress
- Device damage
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Account Termination
By You: You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. This will delete your account data from our servers. Local data on your device must be deleted separately by uninstalling the App.
By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the App in a way that could harm other users or our systems.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in India.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Finite Days regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
